The Octopus Princess has been kidnapped by the evil celebrity chef, Shefu and plans to cook her on live TV for the entire world to see! As loyal samurai from her kingdom, embark on a perilous quest to Restaurant Island as Tako and Sakana to try and save her from this culinary calamity! The Island itself is full of dangerous food themed dungeons, each guarded by Shefu's evil and corrupted cooking. It will take everything Tako and Sakana have in them to brave through the eight levels to save their princess.

Description

Takoyaki Surprise is an action-packed clicker influenced by various titles from other genres such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman and many more. Using a 16-bit aesthetic, players will take on the role of Tako, a brave samurai octopus as they travel through colorful worlds to rescue the Octopus Princess. On this journey Tako will be accompanied by his companion, Sakana, a swordfish who also acts as the mouse cursor. The two must work together, to face off against hate-filled food prepared by a maniac chef, Shefu. Along the way he will meet up with an exiled companion from his kingdom, Shedo, who has a secret story that is unlocked after Tako's campaign. Tako's campaign is designed to be a balanced experience, accessible to all player-types, while Shedo's is a hard mode for players looking for a deeper challenge. Both campaigns feature story segments unique to them.
